Thank christ for that, just thinking how short we are of sh1t midfielders!

At least its a Villa reject this time rather than a Palace one!

Who knows, he may be brilliant

I don't know about other fans out there but I'm getting to the stage where I couldn't give a f*ck anymore. The whole shooting match is a f*cking mess and nobody at the top seems capable of sorting it out or maybe they feel the same.

Chris Herd is actually a very talented lad and I remember watching us play Lincoln City a few years ago in the FA cup. There was this young lad, who wore an Alice band but he was pinging the ball around all over the pitch and he really stood out that day.

When I got back home from the game, I checked this lad out as I really should be BWFC's chief scout and this young player was in fact Chris Herd, who was on loan at the time.

Herd has had a difficult time recently at Villa, he's had some personal problems and he probably just needs to be playing football. It's just a pity he'll be spending at least a month on loan under clueless mk2.

It will be interesting to see where Herd will slot in for us, I'd imagine he would probably play full back, but he's pretty versatile.

Can he be any worse than what we've already got?

Well we have a lot of defenders on the books.
Mcnaughton, Riley, White, Threlkeld, Baptiste, Wheater, Mills, Ream, Tierney, Moxey, Herd.
It seems like defender Bingo to me until he flukes the correct combination.

What's worrying though chip is the following

    Mcnaughton (good)
    Riley (sick-note)
    White (loaned out)
    Threlkeld (rabbit in the headlights)
    Baptiste (loaned out)
    Wheater (can be OK)
    Mills (hhmmm!!!)
    Ream (prone to mistakes)
    Tierney (injured)
Moxey (by common consensus a load of sh1te)

Got to be the worst collection of defenders ever at BWFC??

I agree Jimmy with your summing up of those players, however DF has brought 5 of those players to the club and presumably the other 6 he's deemed good enough otherwise he could have moved them on in the 2 years he's been here.
