    Haw tazzy...

    Out off of the goodness of my own heart I of got you some advice from the Club photographer at Carlisle and one two other semi-pros. More's to come so keep an eye on that thread.

    More from an bloke on another fred answering the same question:

    For sports, a crop-sensor would be best for the better telephoto reach, and yeah you want a shutter speed of about 1/1000 so either use shutter priority or manual and set the ISO and aperture around that. Use the continous-servo AF mode too and burst shooting mode so the camera refocusses on the subject and you can get a sequence of images to maximise your chances of getting the key moment and focus. It takes a bit of practice to keep the subject under the AF point, they'll probably get a lot of blurry photos where they missed the subject at first, turning IS off if the camera/lens has it helps with AF speed though.

    Bumble's now come up with some stuff on lenses tazzy. This is all stuff that you'd normally of to pay to go to an masterclass to get, straight from somebody who's achieved your dream, has worked the big grounds and knows the job from the ground up.

    Not sure why you seem to be ignoring it.
