    Web fans forum

    Seems to have disappeared?

I am assuming it has died and gone to forum heaven?

Surely FootyMad is the only place to be, with 'one login to rule them all'?

When FootyMad had that hiatus in the latter half of last December a Carlisle United supporter quickly set up a Proboards message board. To me that was a mistake because each Proboards board exists in isolation.

The Carlise United FootyMad board still has a small rump of regulars but I believe that because it is part of a network of United Kingdom club boards and FootyMad is a full time organisation it will carry on and ever so gradually build up its numbers again.

The Carlisle United Proboards board now has the overwhelming majority of supporters but its (currently one) moderator is becoming busier outside the message board context and he wants to at least lighten his load by recruiting 2 moderators. He is also a bit pissed off with the behaviour of some folk. Like me he doesn't give a **** about swearing but posters who consistently are bad mannered or abusive to e

I am not saying anything against Footy Mad. I am referring to a separate board that most on here used, a year or two back.

Was it specifically a Swindon Town message board? Presumably it had existed alongside FootyMad for a while? I wonder what happenned.

Maybe the creator / moderator's circumstances changed and he could find nobody to take over?

Under the Walsall banner, but it was used by Walsall, Swindon, Millwall, Derby, Sunderland and Burnley fans too.

Maybe putting a post on the FootyMad Walsall, Millwall, Derby, Sunderland and Burnley boards would elicit a response.

No, this is the best place to get an answer.

So a good percentage of the users were Swindon Town supporters?

If you have not noticed, apart from Gaz, Laz and occasionally Callum, no other Swindon fans frequent this board.

In hindsight we should never have left The Fellows and Walsall Mad. We only left because Zidane and Shilts couldn't do what they wanted with the board so wanted their own place.

When they did get their own place they put up too many individual boards (one for each club) instead of just The Fellows and The Colin Taylor. It was only Sadlad that manned the place really and it died a quick death.

The Fellows and Walsall Mad was great whilst it lasted and folk should have stopped there, but then again if they've all gone on BaceFoo-k then that place would have been a ghost town anyway.

Things move on any road and Footymad isn't as busy as it once was.
