Atsu eyeing more first team action.


Christian Atsu has declared his intention to start more matches for Everton, starting with this week’s Europa League tie in Russia.

With Kevin Mirallas joining Steven Pienaar on the sidelines, it looks likely that Atsu will definitely play some part against FC Krasnodar on Thursday evening, and the Ghanaian stated that he hoped to add many more appearances to the three that he has already accrued in the Royal Blue shirt.

“It’s been amazing since I came to Everton,” the 22-year-old told evertontv. “Everyone is friendly and I’m settled with everyone now so I can just concentrate on games.

“It’ll be a very difficult match in Russia but we are hoping everything will go our way.
