    Pessimistic Fans

I have a gut feeling that LD was only too aware of the downward spiral that the Well Society was taking and as the "big pusher" on that item, she opted out so as not to be associated with its failure.
Also,I am sure she was aware of the the reduced budget,(third in three seasons), that SMcC would be given and realised that even he could not possibly sustain the successes of previous seasons.
Add to that, that our benefactor had indicated that enough was enough, and she could not coax any more finances from him.
I was no supporter of LD but she did the right thing and thought of number one...herself.
    My point.
If someone so high up in the Club jumps ship I can see why other members of this board are so pessimistic about our future.
Me. I am the eternal optimist and just hope that we can turn it all round but, with SMcC away on International duties before our next game I am about to enter the doubting stage.

I wish I was as confident that we were safe as a club (Even if it means going part time). I just get the sense that there are to many sings that point in the opposite direction.
