Justice was done.
If anything the Hibs player should have been up he instigated the whole thing although at the end of the day it was handbags.
BT going overboard trying to create a bit of controversy to give them something to harp on about and for demented yahoos and their diddy comrades to rant on about.
GIRFUY.![]()
Been there and bought the T-shirt as far as having the SFA protect Kris Boyd and his thuggish behaviour.
Sunday 14 February 2010
"Merouane Zemmama last night claimed Kris Boyd “went for his face” with his elbow and would have been sent off in other countries.
The clash between the Moroccan midfielder and the Rangers striker occurred in the closing moments of the first half in the champions’ 3-0 victory over Hibernian at Ibrox yesterday.
The Rangers striker was booked after his arm caught Zemmama.
Walter Smith, the Rangers manager, said he believed the caution had pushed his striker though the 18-point disciplinary mark, thus meaning Boyd would be unable to play against Celtic in two weeks. However, Steve Conroy, the match referee, later confirmed that the booking would only amount to two points for obstruction, leaving Boyd one point shy of suspension."

Just been mulling this decision over again, can anyone in the know enlighten as tae...
1. When did the SFA bring in a "Not Proven" judgement ?
2. How can an appeal tae a guilty verdict as laid down by the Compliance Officer, complete with two match ban, suddenly have insufficient evidence tae stand up ?
3. Would it not have been better tae judge "Not Guilty" or "cleared of all charges" rather than this rather bizarre, back of a fag packet invented "Not Proven" judgement ?
An utterly farcical turn of events IMO, regardless of which club was involved, its worrying that our governing body still make up rules as they go along and bend them when suited.
