Went to see 'Gone Girl' with Mrs JJ the other night. Great film but nowhere near as good as the book.
Got me thinking. I can't think of many movies where they was better than the book. Even outstanding and classic films like The Shining, Midnight Express, The Exorcist, Silence of The Lambs, etc
Only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Kes and The Godfather
