Well done Bowyer on the substitutes

As Gary Bowyer gets a fair bit of stick on his substitutions, its only fair to say he got it spot on today.
Against a big, physical strong Ipswich clearly no good to go 2-0 down and game over,so great credit for taking off Jordan Rhodes and trying to solidify the back(as best he can) with defensive substitutes(Baptiste was an obvious one when Kilgallon got sent of),moving Marshall forward and giving Tunnicliffe the "Roy Keane role"that he relishes. In fact a perfect game for Tunnicliffe(Im surprised Bowyer didnt start with him) and great creativity in KEEPING Williamson on the field and taking Cairney off(whether Cairney is carrying a knock or not). So a more "Mourinho old-style"set=up then with two defensive midfielders...and if all that is just luck, then at least Bowyer played to be lucky.

I do think we were lucky though,so all those games when the ref.was blamed for costing us the game are being evened out a tad.

Would we have got the point with Hanley on the field? A

Bob, thanks for reminding me. Despite my personal feeling of the way the team work as whole, I thought Williamson had an excellent game. The really did show passion by the bucket load. And reflecting on what I've posted today, it's the cohesion that missing. If that passion could be developed into the team, rather than held by individuals, we'd be good. And that's the shame. The potential is there,

Back to Williamson. He did great today and was key in the result for us.
