Just got into the car, and I can honestly say I've never been as happy to get out of the wind. I'll apologise now for the spelling mistakes in this piece, my fingers are too cold to successfully navigate a touchscreen.
Still, the 1-0 win makes it all worth it, despite the fact my missus got us tickets in the wrong end
On to the ratings:
Butland 8- Composed and commanding. He was particularly impressive coming for crosses, perhaps due to his considerable height. I'm a big fan of Roos, but this seems an excellent bit of business.
Christie 8- He was a rock defensively, and he was a menace in an attacking sense, particularly second half. His running tired the opposition, which I think was a contributing factor to the reason there was space for Russell to win the penalty.
Keogh 8- Impressive leadership and defensive work from the skipper, showing now ill effects of his recent concussion. He was tidy enough in possession, and organised Shotton and Christie well too. Give this man a

I'm surprised you gave Omar such a high rating. Criticised him at every other opportunity on Radio Derby.
His first start in horrendous conditions, I thought he did well. McClaren clearly thought he was doing a good enough job, as despite warming him up, he left Eustace on the bench. Surprising to hear radio Derby were critical to be honest!Originally Posted by RamFromCornwall
I listened to the game on RD. At the end of the game they said that he (Omar) did very well. Certainly in the second half. First half he was apparently making more short passes back to defense than probably necessary but (and, again, apparently) stepped it up second half and making more incisive passes forwards.
Thanks once again for the prompt and excellent summary D_D.

Just got back. Thought Johnny R was our biggest threat tonight. Omar played solid, enough for Angry to ask questions!
Defense solid and Butland commanding
Terrible conditions but a win without playing that well. Strange playing away and home team operate with 10 men behind the ball. Teams more concerned to stiffle us than have a go these days
not bein funny mate but I wouldn't go with everything RD says!Originally Posted by RamFromCornwall

Great review as always thanks. You don't think your Mrs getting tickets for the "wrong end" may have been a subliminal message?
Good work d_d.
You weren't the Derby folks kicked out of the Blackpool end that they kept talking about on RD were you!!
