Parking the bus at the iPro

It was Wigan who started this very boring trend on New Years Day last season and got a win out of it. It brought a nine game unbeaten league run to an end.

I think most if not all teams who come will have the "Wigan" game plan. Cardiff nearly got a win out of it.

It will be interesting to see on Saturday if we have learnt how to break down and beat teams who do this.

I'm looking forward to playing some of the better teams cause they might play football. I believe we will give a good few of them a spanking!

Interesting that Wigan come to us on Saturday too. This time is a bit different, they were high up themselves last year now find themselves in a bit of a sticky situation. Rosler desperately needs a win, a quick glance of their forum shows the fans are calling for his head already.

Hopefully the fact they need a win will force them to try and play, and we can destroy them with our football.

Its to be expected and the team and importantly the fans need to be patient and keep plugging away.

If I were a Wigan fan, I would be well chuffed with a point from the iPro.
Although as you say, Rosler does need to start wining some games, I think avoiding defeat will be more important to him than setting up for the win.

They were 14 points behind Derby last year and they are 12 behind this year. Can see them trying it again

They will indeed come with precisely the same game-plan. It worked last year.

I was beyond hungover, so my memory of the game might be a little fuzzy, but wasn't it a cas of them kicking us to bits rather than them parking the bus? I remember Russell getting his face smashed in and nothing was even given, I remember at one point as well we had two players down in a heal and they played on.

As is there right. Its the refs job to stop the game (and thank **** for that with all the cheating bar stewards that feign injury nowadays). But yes i think i do rememeber them kicking us all over the park last year, hope we get a bit of protection this year.
