O/T My son Euan, a Grim Tale!

I posted this on the Baggies Board for the people who have met my son Euan who is recovering from brain surgery.

Euan like myself is not a US citizen. I just never got round to it and Euan likewise, we both are permanent residents and travel in and out of the states on a Green Card.

Wind the clock back around 10 yrs, Euan is stopped by the cops because his tail light is out and is found to have 0.025 ounces of pot on him. Stupid yes, but who hasn't been there. A misdemeanor offense, pay a small fine, slap on the wrist done and dusted.

Since that time Euan has traveled in and out of the US many times on his green card. His card was up for renewal last year and they renewed it, no problem. However when he came back into the States earlier this year they stopped him, confiscated his UK passport and his green card and told him he was on probationary entry status and that he would have to appear before the immigration people in Houston to have his “case” assessed. When it was pointed

As you say Woody, a grim tale, my thoughts are with you and your family. I hope your son has a speedy recovery. I wouldn't wish what you're going through on anyone.

Apart from wishing your son and family all the best, words fail me! That sort of mentality does The States no favours!

A complete f* ckin horror story Woody. You and your family have obviously been going through the mill for a while. Thanks for sharing this with us, it must have been painful to write. Having had a head injury I know things can take a while, but I sincerely hope Euan is back to himself real soon.

Terrible story. Sorry to hear about this. Best to your son on his medical and legal issues. Has he said what happened to cause his seizures?

I hope his short term memory returns soon mate.
My brother fractured his skull and had an op to remove skull fragments from the brain.
He was right as rain a month later but we were all worried during that month.
It is indeed a terrible tail of woe mate...I hope it gets sorted for you all quickly and as pain free as possible...and hope Euan makes a full recovery.
