    O/T tv programmes

I'm posting off topic posts on here until the off topic page gets it;'s 4rse in gear and starts to register new posts...I recently posted on there and it STILL doesn't show as a new post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good programme...can't pay, we'll take it away.
it's on channel 4 I think, it concerns the job the High Court baliffs do in trying to recover debt.

it's a hard job, thankless as well.
they follow a small team of baliffs, the thing that stands out to me is the difference between the different teams...

there's one team that are far and away the most 'humane' of them all, the most compassionate and understanding, yet tough when they know they need to be.

then there's the ones that you can tell instantly go into the job with a poorer attitude, and conflict comes easily as the 'customer' senses the lack of empathy.

good to watch and it shows all kinds of human reaction...there are times when I have a tear in my eye and I don't mind admitting it.

good to see the Apprentice back on the box

Not much of a TV viewer, much preferring to spend my free time on here chewing the fat with my online pals like micklyons1hardbstd and watching Tom Cruise movies.

But from Ray's reality to reality/fiction - Boardwalk Empire, what a show and what a final series.

I'd urge anyone who likes quality drama and early last century gangsters to give it a try.

BBC had a similar series, the sheriffs are coming, which a firm taking action on behalf of judgements made through the courts, not a cut throat compared to what I have seen of the channel 5 programme but very interesting in terms of what individuals and companies will try to get away with.

Great show braggy, marathoned the first series on iplayer when I was recovering from illness last year. Only criticism I had was the punky soundtrack, didn’t quite work for me. The second series is definitely on my to do list.

Interesting bit of trivia, a mate of mine who worked for Shane Meadow's production company was originally working on the pre production of PB a fair bit back. The script was originally set in Sheffield and homaged our notorious gangs.

You'll love the second series Katch, especially one episode where they go down to London to sort out a "bit of business"...I won't spoil it for you.
