Some posts ago our moderator Mr Rattea asked people to look up the word moderator in dictionary I have looked in various ones as he did not state exactly which one to use. Here are some of the definitions:-
1. someone who tries to help other people come to an agreement.
2. someone who makes certain that a formal discussion happens without problems and follows the rules:
3. someone who makes sure that the rules of an internet discussion are not broken, for example by removing any threatening or offensive messages
4. Moderators are assigned to "moderate" something which means they are in charge of seeing that it does what it is supposed to do and nothing more.
5. Most moderators are driven mad by their lust for power and will cause suffering and hatred at every turn because it makes them happy to see others unhappy.
I know he comes up with the opposite point of view but for forums that is good. Just think how boring this forum would be without him and how many posts he generates. Lon

Shouldn't a moderator of a football forum based on a specific club seemingly have an unusual hatred/resentment towards the club that dismissed the best thing since sliced bread in Nigel Clough?Originally Posted by SlimyLimey

This is all getting a bit boring, if you don't like what he says then just ignore him?
perhaps its time to stand aside rats
That's exactly what I have been saying concerning our 'beloved' neighbour's board. They have tried the zero tolerance approach in the hope that it generated interesting footy chat between like-minded fans without interference from what they term trolls. It failed dismally, history has shown beyond all doubt that the controversial and argumentative topics get far more views and replies. Like it or not, it's the way most lively messageboards operate.Originally Posted by ramspride

6. "do as I say, not as I do"
7. If all else fails, follow Cloughs philosophy (the decent one)-
" we sit down in a room and discuss it for 20 minutes. Then decide I was right"
