    And Saturday's result will be?

I am forecasting Derby 3 Wigan 1. We are due to concede a goal... But just one!

I was going to say 3-1 too, but because I want us to break another 100+ year old record with McClaren, I'm going to go for 2-0

From the Wigan Forum... they aren't in confident mood...
"Can see this being a comfortable routine 2-0 win to Derby"
    "3-0 Derby"
"Derby should be ashamed of theirselfs if they even concede to us."
    "3-0 Derby at half time"
"Best defence in the championship, against the 4th worst forward line."
    "3-1 Derby"
"hard to predict how many derby will score 3 or 4 i reckon and we will score nil"

I can see another 0-0, away team coming and parking the bus scenario

We,ve a habit of scoring late when teams tire but would like to see us score early which opens the game up as away side have nothing to protect and thats when we can really hurt teams

Millwall came here last season, parked the bus, frustrated the team and crowd and nicked it 1-0. Reverse score line this season.

Wigan came here last season, parked the bus, ruffled some feathers and nicked it 1-0.

On that basis, this looks like a perfectly winnable game on paper but it's likely to be a hard fought battle of attrition. There may not be many clear cut chances for us despite quite a bit of attacking possession so we have to make the chances count.

We have been coming out of the starting blocks very brightly at home recently but without a goal to show for it. That has to end at some point and when it does it'll probably change the complexion of the games compared with what we've been used to of late. It would be a very good time to start that tomorrow.

But I'm going for a hard fought 2-1. Our goal has seemed to have had a bit of a charmed life at times, it can't last forever.

They don't score many but their defence is good ish. Likely to be another 1-0 or 0-0. They might be more tired than us after a tough week so I'm going 1-0 to us.

    I'm going 0-0.

Wigan will deploy the same sort of approach to the game as they did last season.

As others have said an early goal from us and I think we can win well. We need a bit more speed around the box like we showed for the third at Reading or a bit of individual flair like Ibe's goal when he received the ball in the box as he was on the move to open them up, but if we just move it about at average tempo they will watch and track all day long and attempt to hit us at speed on the counter.

The crowd will be quite significant. I think the gate will be a bit bigger as we're tops but if any tension gets transmitted from fans to the players, I can see another Millwall-esque game of stoppages and moans and groans.

Hope I'm wrong. I was once before.
