    Defenders and penalties

WTF is Rosler playing at giving defenders penalty responsibilities!!!
Thats Caldwell(Arsenal semi) Ramis and now Tavernier all missed surely attacking players are gonna be better.

Seem to remember David Unsworth stepping up with no complaints
Leighton Baines on the other hand!

I'm in with a chance ... I selected 4 of the actual team .. Barnett, Mclean, Roger and macamamamamanum,

and my predicted score would have been correct if the penalty had gone in.

    We're in it together Koooooo

It's irrelevant that they're defenders. Both Ramis and Tav have taken penalties in past with success and both can strike a ball well. It's just unlucky. Nobody else on the pitch at the time, bar Forshaw maybe, could have taken a decent one. McMananaman has never taken one, would you let Fortune take one, with his record in front of goal?

one reason why Uwe wants his defenders to take pens rather than more forward players is to avoid anything affecting their confidence or frame of mind, which a penalty miss can do to a player. Uwe wants to take that factor out of the equation.

If thats the case lets put fortune in the goals so if we conceed carson wont be affected. What a load of tosh. A striker should take pens give us the best chance of scoring.

Are you lot mad. ALL professional footballers should be able to take, and score, a penalty. It is not rocket science. Yes and i know they don't always go in but it is only one kick of a ball.
