    notts

I thought we played well today but could not score.I just got out of the ground when we gave them a penalty, and that was the only way we was going to lose today. We looked like a team for the first time this season we just can not give anything away with the refs these days thy are irratic to say the least.Things are looking better as long as we improve every game and thy the players give thier all we can not ask for more.

As a Notts fan I sat there this afternoon confident that we would nick it,not that I thought we played any better (in fact we have played much worse teams than you this season) but because over the years I have experienced the sort of luck that teams have when they are down at the bottom. I do believe it was a penalty but I have seen these decisions go the other way against top teams. Well played today & I genuinely hope that you pull clear.

Much improved performance today. A neutral would not have known which team was on the great run and which was rock bottom.

Played some lovely stuff at times and certainly didn't deserve to lose but we were our own worst enemy at times. Madden did quite well finding space out wide and running at their defence but has to learn to lay the ball off when there is a player free in space instead of just going for glory every time he gets near the box. He wasted some real opportunities for us to get round the back. Taylor had one of his better games, using his strength more effectively but his finishing was poor again. Osbourne and Luke Williams both look like quality signings by Robins. Plenty there today to give us hope for the future.

Your foul-mouthed No.27 was lucky not to get a smack in the face for what he called our penalty taker but if the ref heard it he ignored it, the same as he did when your defenders were climbing all over our midfielders.
