    o/t fireworks...

    yes, it's that time of year again...

    was in bed yesterday and there was this almighty loud BANG, they never made them that loud when I was a kid, otherwise half of the old uns in Dronfield Woodhouse would have sh1t themselves...

    so, I got over the 'fright' and thought...

    afghanistan
    ***q
    gulf war
    IS
    9/11
    Luton Town/Millwall 1984 (ref HMH
    ...

    and it's 2014...then I wondered...perhaps it wasn't a firework???????????????

    and air bomb repeaters...Great days.

    We used to make "genies"..When a banger dint go off...Split it in half, pour all the gun powder out into a little pile and light it with a match..Making sure you got yer face out of the way...Phoooffff...That's all it was..

    But when you were about 12 years old it was like a big bomb going off...

    Imagine kids doing that in this day and age..They wouldn't be satisfied til they'd blown up a building...
