    London Q & A

Good night in the smoke curtesy of those Punjabi Rams fellas. Rush and Vicars were open and honest and despite major hassles on the Tube well worth the effort.

Couple of questions about Clough as you would expect. Rush confirmed it was a difficult shout but it had to be made. Attendances dwindling and general apathy around the club. Mid table mediocrity and not looking like much improvement.

They were asked about the ownership group and if they were now buzzing about DCFC. JV confirmed that yes interest was now high. They are not football people but they are sports people. Now added to that group is a local Derby businessman and they all felt there was a really good balance. He mentioned that at some time they would probably sell but they certainly were not getting that vibe at the moment.

Rush was asked about Thorne and he advised that George was about 90 to 100 days away from recovery. They won't rush him back but he will only come back when he is ready. He mentioned that the sum

They were also asked about Barker and why the club was still supporting him. It was a bit awkward but Clough extended Shaun's deal in the hope he would recover. The club have honoured that, which I think is to their credit. The impression was given that Shaun would not play again. His injury is as bad now as it was a year ago. The contract expires at the end of the season and I doubt it will be extended.
    Real shame.

All these sessions fall under the banner of lip service and PR Tho.

Is anything ever said you wouldn't expect. Any topic or chance to say it as it is is refers to as awkward or similar.

You know what's going to be said before you go.

And if it becomes to awkward Rush "hands it over". They are almost laughable.

So why don't you ever go and show rush and vicars up for the frauds you believe they are or has there been a problem with your ticket again?

You are right in as much as I don't expect, and would not want, them to say 'Clough was a prat, I did not like him, so he had to go'.
But it is interesting to get an insight into some things that maybe PR but still interesting.

To be honest angry ... Yes!

I was told true or not by someone that Rush won't tackle fans if their opinion is not his or her has no comeback. A little bird tells me he knows full well of disgruntled fans and possiy myself. Has he ever tried to address or discuss that!!!!

To his credit a certain Mr Savage tried. That's your bench mark.

They seem a lot more comfortable around the likes of people with sit flags. That's the level you are dealing with.

I'll be honest I had a chat with a certain member of the then board a few years back as a few in here know and he told it warts and all to a stunning level. That's what I respect.

That's all hearsay, why don't you go to one of these Q&A and give rush both barrels, after all aren't you the one that likes 'discussion', maybe you could record your discussion and put it on you tube for all of us to see, maybe then you might start converting some of us

And yet if they didn't hold these sessions, you'd be the first one on here complaining that the clubs doesn't communicate with the fans - with your level of negativity towards the club, you'd be better off at the other end of the A52...

How do you know I've not been!

Apparently he was meant to have a discussion with me. He failed at his end 18 months ago.

It's also his job to keep the "customer" happy. So zero out of ten for his "customer" care!
