what's This Board Trying To Do?

I've just tried to log on and get a page trying to flog me advert free access to footymad for £2/month or £20/year. Have the organizers of the board gone completely mad? Are they now trying to con us out of money? I'm discusted. If they carry on like that they can stuff their website.

Same here, looks like they all want their pockets lining. Well they can well and truly get stuffed!

Quite clever really, bombard the site with hundreds of adverts for a year, make the site virtually un navigable, p*ss all the users off and then offer a solution but for a cost

re: what's This Board Trying To Do?

in fairness isn't it just giving people a choice? a lot of people (including myself) have moaned about adverts and the extent of it ****es me off. most 'aps' have an option to purchase or subscribe to an ad free version.

of course, I won't be paying but it's not actually changing anything by giving you the option.

the only thing I would say is it's gonna **** me off even more if I have to click 'view with ads' every time I log in. they should have a box to tick so the message doesn't show up every time.

and also when I first saw it I wasn't convinced it was genuine anyway. there's been enough viruses and url redirections sent through this site that I wouldn't be giving any card details to any link provided by this site!

    Really dumb decision

    1) You make your sponsors angry. They pay your site to advertise and you offer a policy not to view these paid adverts?

    2) People would rather use *******er anyway.

    3) Few would ever pay if any, using their options given the lack of security on this site. Skrill would have been the better option.

    I forgot to add 4/5:

    4) The more important thing is to boost viewership and readership, this Board has lost thousands to social media already. Even the link to join DCM (or other sites) on FB has failed. Those who go there usually don't come here.

    5) If this continues, this board will become a skeleton or obsolete in say anywhere from 3-5 years time.

Have you any words of wisdom on his subject Rattea, being a mod for the site?

Ah well, been lurking far too long and finally I have to make a comment.

Gentlemen, may I recommend you install *******? It works very well on Chrome & I never see any ads...

...or demands for payment to get rid of them!
