    Russell in Scotland squad

Johnny Russell has been drafted in to the Scotland squad today to play Ireland & England.

He's fully deserved it, taken his chance with Ward's injury by the scruff of the neck & in my opinion is now number one in line of the wide men priorities. He's a fans favourite, works his socks off, fast, skilful and has now started adding the goals we all know he's capable of getting. Couldn't be more chuffed for the lad, well done Johnny

Would you say he's a cult figure not that dissimilar to Ted McMinn?

he certainly seems to be fulfilling his potential, I'm hoping he stays fit as he could well be a key player for us this season.

McMinn's DCFC career ended before I was born so I wouldn't know

It's strange, as straight after the match SS asked him, on pitch, if he was disappointed to have missed out on selection for Scotland.

Maybe the reporter knew something we didn't!

Fully deserved on current form. Hope we get to see him win his first cap on TV. Great to see so many Rams in international squads. Can only help us develop as a team when they return. As long as they're all injury free.
