    What's the Yam Yam chant?

    Could someone enlighten me about this song which I enjoyed and haven't heard before.

    It's a pee take of the Black Country accent. It's what brummies & other regions call some one from the Black Country. There's lots of 'am's' & 'ay's' in the dialect. Hence the dingles( sorry wolves fans) singing 'wolves ay we?' As in wolves aren't we. Hope this helps.

    do you mean what the wolves fans were chanting or us calling them yam yams?

    you must be a young un if you've never heard us dish that out to wolves and Birmingham :-P

    the best way of explaining it is listen to a black county'er say 'I am' and what you get is 'I yam'.

    Not me Angry but we do park near to the station. We have a pint in the Harvester on pride park next to holiday inn & chiquito's. Four of us from the Black Country every home game if you fancy a pint / chat.
