    He has hit the nail on the head, fans expectations are often out of all prportion to reality.


    You have to say that he has done a brilliant job in 2 years, taking over Ipswich at the foot of the championship and taking them to 4th spot in two years with less than £500K total transfer fees.

    It is something some Derby fans could do with heeding.

    Everyone is waxing lyrical about Wolves, and what a great atmos it was, but it was **** poor at Millwall, when we desperately needed a lift, and not great against Huddesfield either.

    McCarthy has done well there, on a shoe string. In terms of them as rivals I hope that the lack of investment means they have a thin squad, and should injuries take there toll over the winter, they may struggle

    McCarthy speaks of being booed off at the end of a recent match. Don't think that has happened to McClaren or the team at the IPro, so the situations are not exactly comparable.
    The atmosphere has been better this season with the South Stand changes.
