    Aberdeen's debt wiped out

Great news for the club. A local couple who have made their money in the area have paid off the debt in return for owning 20% of the club - OK it's a little bit more complicated than that but that's essentially what's happened.

Don't suppose anyone on here has got the odd £150 million stashed away and doing nothing - view external link

It can be done with responsible owners. Leicester's owners wiped out their debt and I hope whoever we get, if it is another Thai consortium, they will do the same.

Personally, I don't think our £160 million debt is as bad as most people think. The debt is owed directly to Eddie, who owns the club, we owe a minimal amount to Barclays and I wouldn't be surprised, if say we get an offer of around £40 million in installments to buy the club, Eddie might well accept.

Eddie isn't getting any younger and maybe now is the time for him to sell to "responsible owners."

Eddoe will wipe at lease 60 million off the debt no more as the club has some serious land and building developments and could wipe the majoruty of the debt off with that but hey ho !

what will happen will happen !

not heard any more of the big take over yet

Things seem to have gone quiet on the Thai front don't they.

The "debt" is somewhat of a strange word to use about a man owing himself a lot of money, no different from him owing himself nothing. Doesn't make you any richer or any poorer if you owe it yourself.

It's up to him how much he wants in real money to walk away I suppose. Would be an interesting time to be a Wanderer if nothing else!
