Why was Paton not playing other night if he is ready as you say he needs games me personally is injury prone and destined for exit door come January. Hes been out for 4 months taking a wage that could be spent elsewhere a luxury we cant afford im sorry
His mentor at Albion Rovers may give him an option or he may return to the SPLOriginally Posted by Aliboy1975
Who would be your ideas on person/s who could be worthy of his wage Ali ? Can you think of any attacking mid-fielders who deliver quality balls and goals and have done it at this level who may be available

See/listen to 'Interview with James Fowler'.
Stig had been asked by some to pursue this issue with the Manager and he did just that - well done !
No point in getting into an argument about Paton guys, he is not yet ready to play.
What do you expect Queens to do AliBhoy ? Offload any player who unfortunately gets injured ...? Injuries are part & parcel of the game & happen to every club .Originally Posted by Aliboy1975

Clearly you feel for any player who suffers a long term injury.
I have to say however, that when I started watching Queens in the early 70s we virtually fielded the same team every week with a few different permutations from time to time. Injuries were a rarity and players seemed to play through the pain barrier and did not want to miss matches unless absolutely necessary. Alan Ball played on in the famous Ayr cup tie with a broken leg!!!
Some players are extremely unlucky and to be fair guys like Paul Burns have not missed many games throughout their career. Looking at the bigger picture I can't believe that any Manager in their right mind would sign someone like Andy Carroll who is permananently injured and gives his club an appalling return on investment. Duncan Ferguson was another who springs to mind. Sturridge at Liverpool is in danger of going the same way.
At our level Michael Paton can't afford to continually break down with the recurring hamstring problem. Clubs at Queens
