re: SRL Back on loan ?

SRL will always be held in high esteem for me as a result of his playing days for us however i just don't see this happening and nor would i want it. Lazy journalism once again.

He'd be a bench warmer for us if things stay as they are so he wouldn't gain anything. I reckon he'd be more suited to someone like Burnley where he'd actually get a game every week especially if he plays just behind Ings.

Yes we do need a couple more in to strengthen the squad but we're better off looking forward by getting permanent/loan with an option to buy players.

The press are talking as though we need him and the dippers are doing us a favour , I think by Brenda being allowed to buy him in the 1st place is where the favour lies.

Do the floundering mid table giants think they are helping us out ?

Thoughts analasys veiws ect - view external link

No thanks, he left here a winner, he would be returning as a failure. Anyway, since when did the modern Saints look backwards? And why would RK buy or even loan a 30+ striker who is on the decline ?

    I smell bullsheet!

I am inclined to say no thanks, and anyway I don't think it will happen. Rickie left St Mary's as a Legend and I would like to keep it that way. If he came back there is no guarantee he would get anymore game time. He would probably be a benchwarmer. But what if Pelle gets injured or suspended! I don't see anyone who could fill his boots, but Rickie certainly could. He is a good footballer with a great first touch - as seen at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
We do need backup for Pelle. Hopefully Koeman has a plan in mind for the new year.

I don't know why he's not getting games, with Sturridge out he's their best striker

Apparently he's an overweight L2 player - well so say the expert oxygen thieves on FF

    Yes please
He knows this club and understands what it is to play here.
We have no cover for Pelle at the moment
It would serve as a warning to those who are maybe thinking of moving on in the summer

It won't happen though as when Rickie left in the summer he said he was taking his family home. I think he will leave Anfield in January but to a northern club, wouldn't surprise me if Pards signed him again

As long as we didn't have to pay all of his wages then why not?

Isn't this just a bit of skulduggery by his agent to either engineer a move or keep him on Rogers' radar?
