“I was captain at the time, so as manager’s changed and brought in new players I had to learn all about the new characters coming in, but that was part of my developing as a player. It’s helped me in my current role because I’ve seen the different cultures involved in football.

“I’ve learned that not every player is the same, some need a telling off to put them on the right track and others need an arm around them, we’re all different.”

So you should not shout at everybody when it is going wrong.
