I have doubts about Frosyth's ability to be consistent so he woudl eb one assuming one could get a better left back.

Best hasn't really had an opportunity to shine, but at the moment one would have to say could be replaced.

IBe for me adds a lot, but if we had a more experienced wide player to cover for Ward then that would be an area to look at.

I would replace

Forsyth (whom I think is struggling as a LB, but not good enough for his preferred LW position),
Buxton, I don't think he is positionaly clever enough to deal with premier league quality,
and one of Hendrick / Bryson, as I feel this is where we lack creativity in games where we're loosing the battle and need someone to take the game by the neck.

This is presuming I had a decent scout mind!

Happy with the strike force, Ward, Russell and Dawkins are all capable of going central should it be needed. I think we'd struggle to find a permanent aquisition to play 2nd fiddle to Martin, so Mac is right to look at loans for back up.

I don't see the need for a Ch at this moment in time, think we have more than decent players with cover at this level, now IF we go up, then yes we'd need to strengthen that position, but would we get anyone at a price/wages we could afford?

If we get to the PL then arguably every player could be replaced.

No room for sentimentality.

4 or 5 European International standard players would be required to have a chance of survival.

Wtf, this ain't sentimentally but what about giving the guys that got you there a chance to prove they can play there.

You seem to be writing them off before they have even kicked a ball

.. What chance have we got of signing 4 or 5 European standard internationals as you put it.. If your talking quality far superior to what we already have then that will cost millions on transfer fees, signing on fees and bigger contracts.

I'd love to see us having a crack at the prem again but don't want to see the clubs financial stability damaged to do so.

Not into deitys!!! But I do think he is a lot better than some people give him credit for, be interesting this Sat, what if the Shotton/Bucko partnership proves a success?
