    Could be Butcher ?

Looking as if big Terry well in the frame for our managers job. I know a lot of people will despair at this but i thought he done a fantastic job at Inverness and they are still reaping the rewards of his endevour as still going well with a team he built. Hibs was a disaster but that happens to all managers who go their. Would not have been my 1st choice but would rather have him than black.leitch, or adams the others mentioned.

Let us be honest, every one of the last 6 will bring baggage, that is the case with every manger and certainly for a club of our size/current state

Virtually all posters here say the primary focus must be to survive this year, so an auld heid is surely the way forward.

I'd go with Calderwood over Tel, Jimmy's issue at Pittodrie was getting horsed out of cups by lower league teams...we are out of the cups and we wouldn't be stressed anyway as we are used to it and don't have the Sheep's over-inflated sense of entitlement. Calderwood kept Killie up and he will only take the job is he is given the support he thinks is necessary to keep us up. That is what we need, a strong manager who will give the current squad a shake or will have the budget to make some changes in January. There will be plenty of players on the market in January for not much cash outlay for a 6 month contract.

Whatever the ownership situation, the Board needs to make a decision in the next week and back the cho

Whats the source of your information? Sky News reports that 5 candidates are in the frame (Kenny Black is not one of them).

Butcher has been a disaster at every club he's been at with exception of Inverness and us and we finished bottom his first year in charge and only escaped relegation through a technicality. To be fair we had gone into admin but what he had to work with isn't much worse than we have now. I don't think Butchers the man for a relegation battle. Hibs tactics over the two legs against Hamilton in the play offs were p1sh. To lose a two goal lead at home with 10 seconds to go was criminal and frankly we are

    Why Butcher or Calderwood ?
Butcher failed miserably at Hibs and Calderwood been out the game lengthy period and perhaps for good reason (?) Surely we can move forward …. Ian St John got a pulse ? Jim Gannon out of Carstairs ? We need a Hartley or McNamara to take club forward regardless of our position as IMO not SPL survival but re-build a squad our priority for the future and if Championship so be it

Calderwood for the simple reason he knows how to organise p1sh and make them hard to beat. He wouldnt cost us and frankly we wont go for anyone that will cost us. We can't afford inexperience now. Brown and McGhee wouldnt be touched by anyone until we took them. Just cos ur out the game doesn't mean you are hopeless and frankly there are plenty monkeys who are never out the game and they should be.

    Don't panic Pike !!
He's in a 'managerial' position in Fife - saw him in a high-vis jacket holding a "Stop! Children Crossing" lollipop sign last week ... kids were crossing in a 9-1-1 formation as I recall
