However, if it is then the whole world of football, including the Rams, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new dark age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the signing of a very overrated thug.

I heard it from a reliable mate and straight away I said what a load of bull****. He's adamant he's correct but we'll have to wait and see. I would have believed it more had Joey Barton not been mentioned, although he is a decent player I think he could be wrong for the dressing room!

Joey Barton would be good in the dressing room untill someone upsets him!Good player but not for me,can't see this one coming off.

Right...

1) Bamford- Can't see it. We played him on the wing, Boro play him up top. He gets so much aggro from Forest fans when he's here, which he felt the need to address, whereas he's fine where he is. On top of that, if we wanted him that much, I'm sure we had first refusal on him in summer, so either we or Bamford didn't want the deal. All being said, I'd welcome his signing. He has the quality to win games from nothing, as well as being able to link up well with Martin/Hughes.

2) Barton- I'm certain this won't happen. I rate him, both as a leader and a technician, but we have loads of competition in midfield. Hendrick, Bryson, Hughes and Coutts are plenty. Eustace, Mascarell and Thorne are too for CDM. I don't think Harry will let him go, nor do I think we'd pay his wages. Definite "won't happen" IMO.

3) Hughes- I can't see this either. It makes no sense. He's a summer signing, who needs a full pre-season with a premier league club if he was to move.

Think they might be pulling the plug on your Bamford deal that is meant to be done. Would probably be a riot if that **** ever put on a Derby shirt again.
