I reckon he is.
He was cosy with Jemima Khan (from the poverty stricken Goldsmith family) and now he's an anti government campaigner who seems to discredit those views which are anti- establishment every time he opens his mouth.
I don't think he is. Can't see the point you're making.
made himself look a real plank on last nights question time.
sad to say Nigel Farage (slimy git) was the only one who wanted to talk politics the rest were like school kids.
dont get me wrong, cant stand what he represents though im starting to think a lot of it is ignorance on my part...
I don't want to take this off topic cayton as I didn't see the programme however if you had seen the UKIP mandate for the Euro elections and translated them into French then you have very simular mandate as the Front National.Originally Posted by caytonmiller
Interesting IBS because I've had the same thought about him.
It's not often that question time raises laughs but last night the Brand performance was hilarious.
He's a walking cliche generator, every utterance is a collection of tired internet phrases, completely random and nonsensical.
When I see him I have memories of Robert Lindsay's Citizen Smith. Roll on the revolution.
If he's not an establishment plant then he's a great advert for the anti drugs lobby, past habits (or maybe present habits) have clearly had an adverse effect.
Made Farage look like Winston Churchill at times.
He his a total pillock in my eyes,Dropped his mate Johnathan Woss right in it.How he gets a living is beyond me.
"Pound shop Enoch Powell" was a good one though![]()
At least he stirred it up a bit. I though they were going to start brawling in the audience at one stage![]()
No, just a self serving, egotistical, know nothing annoying **** who is about as funny as the Ebola outbreak.
No,he`s just a plant.
The point I am making Walter is this:Originally Posted by walter10

He has some plausible criticisms of capitalism, the banks etc
However, because he can't stop being the comedian or saying things to shock which often contradict the points he has made, then his plausible views become discredited.
For example I have two mates who are armchair anarchists (my view not theirs) who have both said that he comes across like a sixth former who is trying to make a for himself rather than passionately champion a cause. Listening to Brand, according to them has made their views seem childish.
So it seems to me that the establishment will have opened every door to allow Brand to sink the anti-capitalist ship whether he is aware of it or not.
