    The chest thumping has begun

RANGERS REACTION: From Record FC Rangers blogger, Jonny McFarlane
Holding the banner tightly as it rippled in the wind were the die-hards. Young men, with Rangers coursing through their veins, who displayed an astute elegance in their sentiment towards our manager. It’s picture was of Ally McCoist, stern and arms folded with its letters reading: “Your loyalty and sacrifice will not be forgotten.”

They were 8 words that perfectly encapsulated the collective appreciation for a man that had shown true leadership in our darkest of hours.

That Ally McCoist’s tenure as manager has been a failure in many ways will have little impact on the way he will continue to be lauded at Ibrox.

His playing talent and goalscoring prowess are so legendary that they require no further elucidation from me except to say that like many, he was an idol in my formative years watching the game.

So c'mon bears, get oot the Union Jack waist coats , the stiff upper lips and get land of hope and glory playing in the background and get all teary eyed while you salute your fallen hero. Maybe even throw in a Churchill wartime speech for the effect

    It's...
    I blame the schools...

The funniest thing about all this 'fallen hero, legend forever' pish is that it is nuggets like the erse writing this pish that forced him out of a job!
"I'm one of McCoist's strongest critics"

I see he was cheered off the team bus... Record reported in the same string that he wasn't even on the team bus when it left for Palmerston - maybe they picked him up on the way...

Anyone who reads or indeed buys thon rag, well : The bold Alistair has made probably wedge during his tenure as sevco manager than all the gaffers he has come up against in the lower leagues, thankfully there are folk including Rangers lads that can see thru him for what he is, " I did not know how much I was being paid" , very much like Walter, no dignity or indeed decorum

Does it matter? We've already seen over the last couple of years that the currants are the most gullible bunch of raisin-brained half-wits you are ever likely to see.
For every fiver... they bought that one...
