    Alan Hinton

Here's an article about a really nice guy, he was always approachable, friendly and his son Matthew was a lovely little lad too...really sad.

Get well soon pal. - view external link

Nice read Rammy, apart from the circumstances obviously, I did not realise he was in his 70's though.

That was an interesting read Rammy, i hope he comes through the op ok? You once told me he was your favourite Derby player, not as good as Don Rogers but still a very good player and a Rams legend

    Alan Hinton...
Rammy, as you may remember, I used to be taken every other week to Derby in the 70's , and I remember Alan, blonde curly haired winger/attacker? From memory, he always seemed to be storming down the wing? but I maybe wrong. either way he was a great player that never seemed to get as much recognition as the rest of that great team under Mr Clough. Let's hope he recovers.

    Hi Djay

Yes he had blonde curly hair. He could play on either wing and could make pin point crosses with either feet. He had a hand in nearly every goal we scored in those days.

    DJay

Here's an example of how nearly every goal came from Hinton's involvement. Is this how you remember him?

Wish we had one like him now - view external link

Wow, some player and some team! He could hit a ball with either foot and that goal he scored was brilliant! I couldnt help but notice that Derby team was full of great players, those were the days Rammy Also couldnt help but notice the heavy pitch. Yes he was without doubt a top top player but a very modest and nice guy as well
