I know we are still near the top of the league but 4 defeats in the last 8 games and the ones we did win, except Wolves, were not brilliant. We just cannot break teams down when they run at us. We start doing Cloughie's thing pass sideways and backwards going nowhere. I'm a big supporter of Mac but bringing Best on at half time was idiocy. The game was crying out for Hughes to create something. Has Rattea got a point???

Its clear and indeed has been for a few weeks that the team as whole have been suffering from a drop in form, I don't see that as a crisis...yet! However, its clear we need competition at left back, Forsyth has gone back to his bad old days.

Having been a supporter of Shotton, I thought he was very poor today, finishing with that needless penalty, so thats Bucko back next Saturday then? (Unless Shotton just misses the league cup game?).

One can single out poor performances like Shotton, but in truth, with the exception of Grant none performed as we know they can do, although Bryson and Russell were OK.

It happens, and it can be difficult for a coach to establish why or how to rectify the problem -when a team just isn't clicking one can chop and change players but that issue will still be there. This when the coaches really earn their corn.
