Thread: January Wish List (needed)

    January Wish List (needed)

    Left Back
    Right Back
A striker of at least Martin's quality
Holding Midfielder (Rohan Ince? Out of favour at Brighton)

    Any more?

Ah yes, going out and splurging on new players will solve all the problems wont it?

Of course not! All teams and players have drops in form, we having one now and I'm Ok that its happening at the moment and that despite to playing well, we are still in the top 6 and not losing consecutive games (yet).

I agree that a left back to compete with Forsyth is required and clearly the requirement for another forward player has been identified by McClaren if the rumours are to be believed, but you can't seriously believe that the team that finsihed 3rd last season and is currently 4th is in that big a need of an overhaul??

this must be the definition of knee jerk. Christie's probably been our best player this season so far. you can count the number of bad games he's had on one hand, literally - Ipswich, leeds and yesterday. every other game he's been superb.

So let's change 40% of the team in one go? I said before chill out yes we have a problem a problem that can be sorted in the main within the squad plus a couple of additions maybe.

on reflection the situation probably isn't as bad as it seemed yesterday, but i disagree with the fact that its the same team that finished 3rd last year. Forsyth has been no where near as good as he was last year and does need replacing IMO, he is poor. Christie is no Wisdom, and even though he is still young a perm loan is needed whilst christie improves his attacking (which is dire). Martin is no where near as consistent either, and best is s**t, maybe all Martin needs is competition. And finally with Thorne out we have struggled to find a replacement of the same standard. Omar again is on and off and Eustace isn't even near the side anymore.

Our current team is not the same quality as our team last year. Fact. A left back is needed. Fact. A better RB loan and a st who can give Martin competition will only improve the side to where we were last year.

So we have the same players but the team isn't as good as last year? Yet we

sorry - are we talking about cyrus Christie or have we signed somebody else with the surname Christie?

is there anyone else on the entire forum that think cyrus Christie's attacking is dire?

i'll take you back to all of...a week ago when Christie bombed down the right to provide an assist with an inch perfect cross for chris martin to head home against brighton.

Christie has 5 assists this season. no defender in the entire league has more. how can his attacking possibly be dire?

Agree Rapid. That previous post is one of the worst I have seen as far as assessments go. Not many Championship players will be flawless every game, hence why they are playing in this division. Christie has been consistently good so far this season. On

One cross doesn't make him a good crosser, i think thats the only one from him this year that has gone to a man in a white shirt. I'd like to refer you to the countless crosses and passes which he has failed to complete in every game this year. Yes, i thin
