    lee grant

Just reading some of the posts about the boro game and most of the team getting slated apart from Grant. He was rubbish yesterday and the games since he is back from injury. Is he carrying an injury still which is leading to this poor form?
People saying he made a world class save ha. That occasion first shot straight at him second shot (with an empty net) great height for Grant.

People raving about his distribution, boom, up in smoke yesterday, absolutely shocking. A few times the camera had tracked some other player when having to cut off and go back because grant had lost it from the kick out.

Doesn't command the box like an experienced keeper should be when his team under the cosh, as he demonstrated yesterday.

Why do we insist on passing it back to him all of the time. If I knew someone was a bit wobbly I would take more responsibility and give them a break.

I think the comments about Butland were harsh in comparison to what we have seen since he has left.

    Now these comme

I think you're being harsh mate. it was me that said world class save and I believe it was. I don't think it was straight at him. he had just made one save and had to move to his left to get a strong hand on the ball.

I see where you're coming from though. I actually thought everyone was poor on the whole. grant made 3 or 4 really good saves but you're right to point out his distribution. at one point it was almost comical, kicking it against players of getting it forward about 30 yards straight to one of their players.

as I keep saying against better opposition these mistakes would get punished much more regular.

if I were on the D_D ratings I'd have probably gave him a 6.

Overall a bit harsh maybe, but he should have done better with the first goal and he looked shaky in all aspects of his game. If I was D D I would give the ratings a miss this week for all of our sakes.

fair points. I thought there were a few communication mix ups at the brighton game too.

probably something to do with him being out for a while. hopefully with game time he'll get back to his best.

He was wrong footed for the first goal, 9 times out of 10 he'd have saved that but thats football. When the defence is shaky it hardly gives support to the keeper, so I think thats a very harsh assessment for me he was with Bryson and Russell the better players on the pitch.
