    Another interview with Hutchison

This time with the PA. Apparently the Well Society have the whole thing and will be publishing it eventually but some teasers here, including:

"Hutchison told Press Association Sport: “The clear message which has to go to the fans and to sponsors and to everybody is that the club will not – not may not – it will not, this project will not succeed without their active involvement.

“No longer can they look round and look to someone else and a big white charger coming across the hills to save them all.

“I think it’s been proven across Scottish football that that’s no longer the case.

“If we can have lots and lots of people involved in a small way then we can achieve the objectives that we are talking about." - view external link

There is always a Good Motherwell turnout at Paisley and this Saturday won't be any different. How about this radical view a we get a good turn out by the team instead of the insipid turgid p1sh they dish up every week

Unfortunately this idea of lots of folk giving a little is going to be near impossible. Not impossible but near impossible. This is not a defeatist attitude it is reality. Over the years the club the well society the supporters trust have all tried to get people to part with thier hard earned over the decades I have supported the club and the same old stuff comes out . They are just coming after the same 2-3 thousand people. How does our club make money? Prize money. Gate receipts. Tv money.Sponsorship. The odd player sale. At the moment all of these things are reducing year on year. We had just over 3 thousand at the game on Saturday most of which would have been season ticket holders and 162 county fans. You don't have to be a mathematical genius to now we are not making any money at the moment. So what do we do? You could put season ticket prices up. We all know that would go down like a cup of cold sick. We could offer a prize draw to those willing to make monthly payments to the

The least we need is 5000 well fans putting in an average of an extra £10 a month. For the next 5 year and beyond.

I would start inviting people into the club for a chat and a we tour on a personal basis to try to get them to upgrade there well society memberships. 10 folk upgrading to the 1000 pound level. That could be 7 grand almost over night.
