Thought for the homeless,
At this time of year please don't see them as down and outs..
We don't know the reasons why they have become lost souls.. Met a homeless guy last Sunday in the square beside one of my coffee shops I like to go to..
He was and older gent shuffling his feet as he went along he wasn't pestering anyone but it was obvious he was sleeping rough.. Took time out to speak to him he lost his wife and young daughter tragically.. He told me he fell by the wayside a broken man 35yrs ago took to drinking every night ended up on the street for the last 10yrs..The story he gave me was heartbreaking.. After speaking to him he thanked me for taking time out to listen to him.. It's sad that people like him didn't get the help he really needed.. Maybe we as fortunate people living in nice warm homes can give some time out to talk to some less fortunate than ourselves.. Try it it's very rewarding.. It was a pleasure to meet him.

Mook I think if folk do take time out to speak to these guys it makes them feel better about themselves.. Imagine being in his shoes walking past people doing their normal daily stuff they have the feeling of being worthless knowing folk are looking down on them.. That's why there are reasons why people end up in sad situations on Sunday it was tear dropping stuff I can tell you.

Well I don't tend to look down my nose at anyone but I imagine other people do & people shouldn't be out in the cold at this time of year, especially when you see the decadence going on elsewhere.
Nice story, Buc.
My plan for Sunday is to go to a wee sandwich shop near me at Leith Walk and get 10 soups, 10 teas, 10 coffees and 30 sandwiches and then dish them out around town. I do this regularly on a smaller scale (usually if Im going out for beers I will get a sandwich and a coffee/coke and crisps and give it to some homeless person) but this is different not only as its 30 but we want to get a photo taken with at least 10 of them to promote the idea on social media and encourage others to think of the homeless, especially at this self indulgent time of the year.

Bang on again buc. You've put the pish spouted on here in its proper perspective yet again.
Cheers buc. Its actually a xmas present for my sister. We usually make a donation to charity instead of getting each other a present.
