hereford and why noone should ignore hassall

As Hereford United Football Club (1939) Limited is in the process of being wound up and a liquidator will be appointed, this action triggers the council’s right as landlord to forfeit the leases. The council will now pursue this and seek to gain formal repossession of all three sites leased to the club.
Once the ground has been secured, the council will consider the appropriate process for procuring a new tenant to ensure the continuation of football.

Fine and dandy to copy out a news item like this, no1se, but where is your promised take on the matter?

If the town council is saying that the club had become a total cesspit, and will encourage its rebirth at a lower level, well, one can applaud that.

But where does Stormin' Norm come into this? Can he actually bring us down?

I thought that it was he who owed money to us rather than us being in his debt, which would, I agree, be ominous.

If I have got it wrong, then could you please expand?

Not too sure either but it would help if we knew who owned the ground?

Not the council otherwise by now it would be allocated for housing development

Whenever I read stories like this, I think to myself it should NEVER happen, not in this day and age when football is awash with cash!!! The football community should pull together, (the Prem especially!), all for the sake of half a week of Wayne Rooney's wages!!!

Somerset's right, of course, but it will never happen while I'm top side of the daisies. Money (TVs, sugar daddies, rich-boys-toys etc) rules the game.
Hereford I find really tragic. Lovely old town and potential for being a lovely ground. The stadium needed up-dating, but it's a lot better than some I've been to as an Alex fan in recent years. Hopefully the club will rise again.
