Roberto Martinez on borrowed time?
MailOnline report that Roberto Martinez is the next Premier League manager who faces the axe.
Martinez reputation was such that he was spoken of as potential successor to Arsene Wenger at Arsenal or even a future England manager.
When the season started, Martinez seemed fireproof. However Everton have underperformed and now 'Grapevine sources' state that Martinezs' job is on the line.
In a shock development it is understood Martinez is suddenly under immense pressure at Everton in the wake of Neil Warnocks dismissal at Crystal Palace. The 66-year-old Yorkshireman became the first Premier League managerial casualty of the season on Saturday.
The man who is being lined to replace Martinez as new Goodison Park boss is former England manager Steve McClaren, currently in charge at Derby.

Bias views and pissed-offishness aside I am really feeling for the fella streets ahead of any remorse I had for Moyes. He said the day he signed with us that he couldn't wait to get soaked into the Everton DNA and know what it means to be a blue. Well welcome to Everton Roberto - Seems we've had the good times last season, now our typical bad times are coming thick and fast in this one and it's telling on him. Which shows to me he gives a **** beyond the win lose or draw culture of Management in football.
Say what you want about his tactics being flawed, assign fault where you wish as I myself have. But think about this - You looked in his eyes today at the final whistle and you could see the genuine upset at letting the fans down and losing again. There's a lot to be said for that.
Reappointing anyone now including Steve McClaren would be a complete disaster. We need to get behind RM, the lads and the c

I'm with you on getting behind RM. Support is needed the most in times of struggle and adversity, not just when things are going well.
Wow, that was almost a Churchillian moment for me thereHope you're enjoying the Festive Season also
