Thread: Board Editor Vacancy

    Board Editor Vacancy

What progress has been made with regard to the Board Editor vacancy? I am aware that Griff and Topdog are willing to do it. Who else is in the running?

What part is QOS_Admin playing in it? He stated that he is looking at several boards that have no moderators, with a view to filling these vacancies.

It's time that the big bookies stopped pissing about with the speculation on the subject of Pardew and Crystal Palace. The real market is agog with the subject of the runners for the editorship of this board.

Aye, it's funny how QUOTE had been enabled, so has avatars for that matter, not that you'd notice. It's almost as though somebody's already doing it.

    Divide and conquer.

This board only exists in my imagination, the people who read and post are the nightmarish elements of a very disturbing dream.

When I wake up, you will all cease to exist.

    Smurfs.

If there is some ****er in charge of this board why does he / she not permanently ban by IP Address any **** who swears?

Indeed, Quote, Avatars and Like have been enabled. Maybe it is a global FootyMad move such that the Powers That Be know that every board has exactly the same facilities.

    QOS_Mad_Admin will know all things.

Life is an illusion, caused by a lack of alcohol.

    Griff.

To be clear, I won't be banning folk for swearing per se, unless they get on me tits summat rotten. Cussing's a bit like punctuation nowadays, so let's all be adult about it. And if kids come along, most of them would benefit from a bit of extra education anyway.

Still some tidying up to do to take Tashy's branding off the site, and I'll give more energy to it in the coming days. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Clear?

Are you the editor of the whole CUFC site or just the messageboard?
If it's the whole site could I suggest you put more info on the match reports ie both teams line ups, attendance, referee etc.
Also, I know you want to get away from Tashkentterrors branding, but I always enjoyed reading our managers comments(I appreciate it takes ages typing word for word off Radio Cumbria)and also oppositions managers previews and comments on the game. I always thought that was a great attribute for the cufc online site.
Anyhow, good to see this messageboard rising from the depths.

Aye, so Griff will be making a fortune with all the potential clicks that can be made on a Carlisle United Mad which returns to its previously exalted state.

Thanks for responding Goldshmidt. To be clear, my reference to Tashy's branding was more about his real and username still being on some of the other parts of the board e.g. matchday articles. I was a great admirer of what Tashy did when he was Editor, and it would be unfair on him if I did or said something wrong (because of my inexperience) and he got the blame. I chose to take the site on because I have always been fond of the place and want to see it continue. I reckon that there is plenty of room for two sites that can be complementary rather than competitors. At one point there was a need for TheCumbrians.net so congratulations to those who set it up.

I'm the site Editor of Carlisle Mad, and currently the only messageboard moderator. That doesn't mean that I can get rid of the adverts, nor can I instantly resolve any logon problems. I've had a good ratch about in the back office and am still learning the ropes; I'll give it a bit more welly in the New Year.

    I like the idea
