    Going up to ten bookings...

Before you get an automatic ban which used to be six bookings is what I heard on Radio Stoke Yesterday but they were discussing the PL and so presume it will apply across all the leagues?

Great Trade Union they have hey?

Now what about changing that daft rule where you get a red card for a foul if you are the last man which is the same for dangerous play? Surely that's not fair? Thing is the player in that situation cannot know if they are the last man or not can they?

That tackle by George Ray surely did not deserve a straight red and maybe a penalty would have been more equitable rather than spoil a contest that both sets of supporters have paid to see?

    While we are at it...

Lets play through May-July and avoid all this freezing nuts off in the winter. Its just plain daft imo. Geat summer days and nights to watch football and have Dec to March off and all the games played April to November including many extra evening ones to make up. You will all notice great swat

I assume your heat comments re Qatar are tongue in cheek!! I don't want a winter break and summer football for a couple of reasons. Firstly it would wreck the international calendar re World Cups and Euros (at least it should bar the stupid decision to award one to Qatar!!).

Secondly, and more importantly, the best other sports are on in the summer. I enjoy the cricket and tennis seasons and get heartily fed up of footie encroaching on them more and more. Don't get me wrong I love the game, but I also look forward to the new season more after a 3 month break . . . except we get transfer speculation ruling the back pages when we should be getting the summer game (copyright J Arlott)

As for red cards, I think denying a goalscoring opportunity should be a red card, but that the subsequent sanction should be less (1 match as opposed to 3). I wouldn't favour an automatic penalty awarded as I can imagine the Portuguese Dyche having his players dropping like flies in the centre ci

I thought a red card for a professional foul was 1 game. Ray has a two match ban because its his second sending off this season.
