To see us turn in performances like that... In the forty plus years I have been watching us, I can't recall having a forward line so hopelessly inadequate for the league we were playing in at the time. I have seen some poor players over the years but at the Championship level we must expect more than what we are seeing. I venture an opinion that James McLean would not play centre forward for any team in all four divisions. He is truly awful in that position offering nothing. Fortune can play the role but he is well past his best albeit his best never involved scoring goals. We were at home today apparently trying to build on the momentum from the Leeds game but never seized the initiative. And we never will until we offer some goal threat and or possession in the opposing third. Any combination involving McLean in a central role will fail.
