    Leigh Griffiths

Good news that Griffiths wants to stay at Celtic and maybe Ronny ought to think about giving the bhoy an extended run in the team and even play two up front??

    Griffiths said...

"I signed a four-year contract and I'm here for the long run.

"I love being here. I love playing here.

"I love walking out onto that pitch and hearing the Celtic fans roar.

"I don't want to go anywhere else."

I'm sure if Hibs came in for Griffiths he would be away in a second.

If Hibs made a bid for Griffiths I'm quite sure he would push the Celtic hierarchy to accept the offer.

I could be wrong but he appears to be at his happiest in the green and white of the Edinburgh version.

Good player for Dundee but he appeared to be even better at hibs.

The boy is a dyed-in-the-wool Hibs fan. Anyone with any sense would see that he would be utterly delighted to run out at Easter Road in front of his home fans.

Yeah it's weird that he's not still at Hibs given that he's a Hibs fan and all. :/

That seems to be your favourite smiley these days - and again it suggests you're being facetious here.

He's not still at Hibs because Hibs weren't willing to pay Wolves the transfer fee they were wanting for him. He was only ever on loan at Hibs. It's not a difficult one for you to get your head around... He was never given the choice between staying at Hibs and going to Celtic.

plus the fact Hibs probably could not match the wages at Celtic.

If Hibs offered Griffiths a good wage, even if it was lower than on offer at Celtic, I think he'd be daft enough to sign with them.
