    A challange for celtic

I for one I'm glad Aberdeen and Dundee utd have started to make a challenge for the title.

I think celtic will claim 4 in a row but the pack of teams below are getting closer to the bhoys, which will be in the long term good for celtic.

It seems the vast majority of Scottish teams are living within their means and we are seeing a trend of teams playing mostly young Scottish boys which will be good for the international team for the future.

Hopefully we can stop a lot of the young scots from going to England before their 20,learn their trade before venturing down south .

The absence of Rangers from the SPL has been great for the Scottish game. It would be great if we could make it permanent.

One of the best seasons in the SPL was 82/83 ,celtic ,Aberdeen and Dundee utd all had a chance to win the title on the last day.
Our teams also consisted mostly of Scottish born players and we played and beat some very good European teams.

Unfortunately for you that's not going to happen though.

Rangers playing in the lower leagues has secured the future of some of our smaller clubs for the time being

You're logic would suggest sellick being removed from the Scottish game would make it even better.

If there were any clubs that were only saved from going out of business by Rangers presence in their league then those clubs would probably be better going out of business sooner rather than later anyway.

Rangers are a poisonous anti-Scottish club and are a cultural cancer on our society.

I don't mind Celtic. They're simply a Scottish club which has grown large out of the Old firm rivalry. Without they will no doubt shrink in size and I don't think that's a bad thing either.

I think it's only really a 'challenge' for Celtic if Aberdeen (and/or others) are still there in March.

To be honest, as great as this run has been for us, it's at a time of the season where it's still only just about putting yourself in a position to challenge.

I cringed when Hearts fans were giving it big licks back in 05 under Burley that they were title challengers. In the autumn. They had a fantastic start and played great stuff but even by half way they'd fallen off the pace.

Hearts did make a genuine go of it in 97/98 but that's the last time anyone did.

Aberdeen are not in a title race at the moment in my view. Still too early for that chat.

    what stupid arrogance from bluek.

he is suggesting lower league diddy clubs futures are secure only cos rangers played them.

it may come as a shock bluek but many of these diddy clubs dont need rangers, they dont budget for playing rangers and they would have a secure future without rangers, cos they are run far better than rangers have been and didnt liquidate.

how many of these clubs who are secure cos they played rangers managed to survive from 1870,s to 2012.

maybe if rangers had learned something from the likes of arbroath and other assorted not well supported clubs, they too might exist and never been liquidated.

i dont expect a reasoned responce from bluek either.

It has already happened - you just can't bring yourself to admit it

Only a shocking refereeing decision in favour of Selik (one of those ones that Reve conveniently forgets) prevented Hearts being neck and neck with Selik after the New Year.
