    Is there anyone who hasn't...

...had the lurgy over Christmas? I got it from the grandson, suffered for an while then gave it to mrsgriff, which is only fair. All the rest off of the folk I know have had it to some degree, with me sister ending up on antibiotics and steroids. Mrsgriff's Monday swim is cancelled due to them all being under the weather; snuffling, puking and coffin. Only me mum (s96yk) has been ok but she's tough as old boots.

    I'm better now mind.

I still of it. I were puking on Friday, so we didert gan down the Brook. I had recovered sufficiently for an few pints on Saturday at my brother's engagement do. Moorlass now has it, and she gets geet whingy over ofing an cold, so when I came to work this morning she were lying down milking it for all she were worth. She got nee sympathy from me, 'cos when I were spewing my guts out the other day (no drink the day before or owt), she were whinging at me 'cos I weren't up an ****ing stepladder painting the ****ing ceiling.

I got nee sympathy from off of mrsgriff. My worst two days were Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and I was running about after her, her parents and her lovely daughter and South African fiance. She was exploding all over New Year, and I had to do all the cooking 'n' that. Bint flu, apparently.

I had an lurgi as well, but not the puking variety

Really heavy head cold and sore throat style, i was so bunged up with catarrh t'other day that i almost went deaf (i was in the pub as well which caused hilarity amongst other folk)

...i've been to Mansfield once(x1) and would rather be ill than go back

I just get on with things if I'm ill. I'm not one to moan.
