    McManus appeal submitted

The club has submitted an appeal over the red card. A fast track decision will be made on Thursday.

If he is successful, surely they HAVE to take action against the referee.

If it isn't successful serious questions need to be asked of the SFA.

I don't think there's any need to take action against the referee. He had to make a decision without TV help about an incident that was over in a flash.

The fast track appeal system was set up to deal with this sort of incident and with the understanding that referees are bound to make occasional wrong calls.

If the card is rescinded it would suggest that the system works.

Why do questions have to asked of the SFA, The ref decided (in his opinion) it was deliberate hand ball preventing a goal being scored, the result of that thinking is the offeding player is sent off.
PS What questions would you ask?

Was he well enough positioned to make such a serious call? Did he allow the Aberdeen defenders to unduly influence his decision?

When are serious questions EVER asked of the SFA , as corrupt an organisation as exists anywhere in world football.

From the TV footage it was never deliberate in a million years. On that basis I would ask what advice should be given to a defending player in such a situation. Should the player make sure he is not in a position to block any incoming shot? That would be ludicrous. Should all players be required to keep their arms behind their backs - even that would not prevent a ball to shoulder situation.

He is the same referee who was having such a bad game that he didn't reappear for the second half of a match therefore the supervisor in the stand was unable to give a grading or a report about him.It says it all about the closed shop referee's association.
