    New Players

    Do you think that is our business done ?

    In Sam Rush's interview after Southport he implied there was some further business to do.

    Stating the obvious but very clear that Best and Naylor are clearly not up to the Championship so we are , as always , very exposed at left back. Whitbread seems to be permanently injured so wonder whether we will do something at centre half. Other than that difficult to see what more we can do bearing in mind we won't be able to guarantee any incoming players a starting position.

    Watched Leeds play on TV versus Forest and at the IPro at Xmas and was very impressed by their young midfielder Lewis Cook if we were looking for a player for the future.

    As you say LB would be a position that needs some competition, other than that can't see any other business. I guess naylor is Ok as cover.

    My view of Best and Naylor is that both are desperately short of game time and it hard to pass judgement on them. With the arrival of Bent somebodies days here are numbered. Best is the obvious one but...

    McClaren on Saturday suggested that Best's place would be up fro discussion.
