Oldham Athletic owner Simon Corney says there is an "80% chance" that the League One club will sign convicted rapist Ched Evans.

"We believe he has served his time," Corney said.

Club sponsors have been told to prepare for confirmation of the Evans deal.

I reckon he was wrongly convicted in the first place.

I would agree with this. If that is his profession, he surely has the right to return to it when he has served his punishment. No one has the right to deny him this.

If people think his sentence was too short, they should lobby their MP and ask for stiffer punishments, not stop him becoming a positive contributor to society.

What do they think he should do?
