    Another note for Rochdale fans.

    During discussions about the Cambridge Manchester game, it came to light that the Cambridge wage bill is 1.25 million. Which is the figure i mentioned last time.

    This bill is for largely conference players, it will be substantially higher next year, when we will need better players.

    The reason i mention this is the mass delusion of Rochdale fans on here that transfer fees and paltry gates can run a football league club. Not only that, but a div 1 club.

    Cambridges average gate is close to 5,000, Rochdales must be about 2,200. And Cambridge are running at a loss.

    The reason Rochdale do so well is because of London money, your merchant banker, and a Europe wide heating business that is run by a Rochdale fan.

    The reason these facts of life is denied is because Rochdale fans are generally country hicks, ill educated, simple, and live in cloud cuckoo land.

    Other reasons, being fair, is the lack of an abacus, a calculator, or a pen and paper. Crofters dont have those things.

    *Snort* Of you actually been to game since the sixties Frank? Last time I looked Plate attendances seemed to be somewhere in the region off of anbout 2,462.
