Joey Barton: Arsenal Should Sign John Stones

Joey Barton Bizarrely Recommends New Defensive Signing For Arsenal.

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton believes that Arsenal should sign Everton defender John Stones to solve their defensive woes, and set them up well for the future.

The 20-year-old has only managed ten appearances for the Toffees so far this season, after requiring surgery on an injured ankle, but Barton feels that Stones will become the focal point of Everton’s defence, and the Gunners should act before his value sky-rockets.

Stones wasd on Roy Hodgson’s standby list for England’s World Cup campaign last summer, and drew plenty of praise from the former Manchester City and Newcastle United man, himself a one-time international.

“If you look at Arsenal and the style they play, surely they are looking at John Stones for Everton. He fits their model,” Barton told reporters, prior to being quoted by Goal.com.

“He’s an exceptional player. He’s going to be the hub of Everton’s defence. Reality

Saw a clip of Barton talking on the Match of the Day 2 Extra. For someone who repeatedly did all the wrong things during his own career, he's quick to tell others what they should and shouldn't be doing. Nothing more than a self styled Philosopher and pseudo-intellectual twitter tw*t... IMHO
